Lizbeth’s Losing It
Hiya, Flamingo Fans!
So it’s August. And the TV is already full of back-to-school commercials! I can’t believe it! I mean, people, we have almost a whole month before we have to go back! Give us some time! It’s like our parents want us to go back or something. Weird.
Anyway, it’s a bit strange on Overlea St. right now. The Captain is spending this week at his aunt’s trailer up north. So I’m holding down the fort here while he’s helping kids in trouble in a whole new place. We’ve been in pretty much constant contact thanks to our long-distance walkie-talkies, but it’s still kind of nerve-wracking, patrolling without him.
I know that my smarts go a pretty long way, but sometimes you really do need the Captain’s goofy unique bravery to save the day.
And, even though he’d never admit it, he really does need my common sense to keep him grounded.
And, well, it’s just nice just to know that he’s around.
Plus, I like using my telescope to see what he’s doing at any time day or night.
Oh, and I MISS HIM SO MUCH! I CAN BARELY STAND IT!
Okay, I’m okay. He’ll be back in four days. Four looooong days…
I’ll write more later. I’m just going to look at my photo album.
Lizbeth
P.S.: Chester says, “Milo, come home soon.”
